Dynamic desktop is a Windows-based workspace (physical/local desktops[1] or virtual desktops[2]) virtual desktop service,[3][4] which is aware[5] of the situation or context[6] in which the user is operating at any given time; and dynamically adjusts the content and appearance of the workspace accordingly.[7][8][9][10] Where traditional desktops are static and device-centric, the dynamic desktop is user-centric and context-centric.[11] When applied to mature and IT solution to become service-centric, Dynamic desktops and dynamic datacenters make up the space generally termed dynamic IT.[12] [13] Dynamic desktops form a part of the technology space termed as virtual desktop administration,[14] and are also relevant during large scale desktop visualisation deployment.[15][16]
